Baked from our family recipe passed down through generations of Yorkshire farmer’s wives, our Rich Fruit Cake, is packed with a generous mix of currants, sultanas, raisins, mixed peel and glace cherries, ensuring each slice is richly fruited. This traditional recipe is warmed with a dash of rum and a mix of exotic spices including nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and cloves. It’s a rich and moist treat with tea, or perfect after dinner with glass of something warming. It is also ideal served alongside a British cheeseboard. Enjoy this special cake yourself or gift it to share the traditional flavour of Yorkshire fruit cake. Our Rich Fruit Cake is delicious as it is, but you can ice or decorate it for a special if you wish. Serves 20-32.
